How We're Building a Thriving Community for LA Dog Moms (And Where We're Heading Next)

Let’s be honest for a second. Los Angeles is a massive city, and finding your actual people here can take a long time. For a while, my dog Lee and I were doing the usual routine. We went to the local dog parks and did quick walk-bys, but I really wanted a genuine, supportive community of women who love their dogs just as much as I do.

That simple idea has turned into something so much bigger than I ever expected.
Today, our community has grown into a vetted group of over 250 amazing members. We are completely redefining what it looks like to be a pet owner in LA.
Between our main platforms, we are hitting over 30,000 monthly views. It turns out a lot of people were looking for this exact same connection.
The First Event: A Huge Success
I was definitely a little nervous before our very first official gathering, but the turnout and energy completely blew me away. We hosted the LA Dog Moms Spring Garden Mother’s Day Brunch at Toastique Sunset, and it could not have gone better.
Seeing so many women connect over great food, share stories, and introduce their pups in a beautiful, premium setting was incredible. The event sold out, the vibe was seamless, and it proved to me that this community is filling a real gap in the city.
Where to Find Us Online
If you want to keep up with what we are doing or join the conversation, we are active across a few different spaces.
Get Event Updates: Follow our Instagram Page for event photos, community highlights, and puppy content.
Join the Conversation: Check out our Threads Page for quick chats and real-time community discussions.
The Main Hub: Like our public Facebook Page to stay in the loop on big announcements and community news.
Turning Digital Connections Into Real-Life Friendships
While scrolling online is great, the real magic happens when we get together in person. We have moved way past standard park meetups to host curated, high-end experiences that fit the LA lifestyle.
Following the success of our brunch, we are organizing sound baths, Pilates classes, and group hikes at places like Tree People.
If you want to come to our next gathering, you can grab a spot on our Eventbrite Page before tickets sell out.
Ready to Join the Inner Circle?
We keep our core community spaces private and vetted. This ensures that our groups remain safe, supportive, and highly active. If you are ready to make some real-world best friends, we have two primary ways to get involved.
The Private Facebook Group: This is our main portal for member discussions, local recommendations, and internal event planning. You can request access through our Private Facebook Group.
Bumble BFF: We also connect with local dog moms through our dedicated Bumble BFF Group. It is a fantastic way to find nearby members for quick neighborhood walks and playdates.
I am just getting started with this community, and I am so grateful to everyone who has helped build it so far. Whether you are here for the big weekend events or just want a place to ask for vet recommendations, there is a spot for you.
